It all began with Samuel Shulman and a small storefront in SoHo. Back then, he made paper accessible to local printers—offering wholesale pricing and small batches when few others would. As printing evolved, so did we. Embossing in the ’30s. Custom cutting in the ’40s. Always adapting, always staying true to craft.
In the ’70s, Shulman Paper found a new home and a new family. The Torres family took the reins and brought new energy, keeping the personal, attentive service alive. Today, second and third-generation family members run our Chelsea studio, continuing what began nearly a century ago, making exceptional paper easy to access and hard to forget.
